📝1052年,

末法思想が広まっていた混乱期に藤原頼道が

貴族の別荘を寺院に改修して建立された平等院,

飢饉や疫病が流行っていた不安定な世の中に

阿弥陀如来信仰が広まります。

鳳凰が翼を広げたように見える鳳凰堂は

極楽浄土の世界観を表現していると言われています

 

Byodoin Temple was converted

a nobleman's villa into a temple during

the chaotic period of the 11th century

The Phoenix Hall, which looks

like a phoenix spreading its wings,

is said to represent the world of the Pure Land

​

 

四季折々に美しい姿が見られますが,

すっきりとした風景に出会える

冬が特に好きです❄️
